ANY SPARK PLUG WITH SPARK given it has an adequate ignition source.
The confusion is about what are hot plugs and cold plugs. It’s simple. If the engine has too cold a plug it will likely foul (Cease to spark). If it is too hot it will likely burn a hole through the piston.
The term cold plug is a description of how well the spark plug sheds the heat of combustion. Thus the hot plug is one that holds more of the heat of combustion. If it is a cold plug contaminates won’t burn clean the electrode and grounding tab and thus foul. A hot plug doesn’t have the problem of contaminate fouling; it has the problem of either melting the electrode and/or ground or providing a hot spot hot enough to melt the top of a piston.
The manufacturer of the motorcycle has tested many plugs to adequately operate in the environment for which it is designed. By following these guidelines the motorcycle should perform in a reliable manner.
